About Me

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I am based in Cannock Staffordshire, and specialise in Wedding and Portraiture Photography. I am a member of the SWPP and the Guild of Photographers

My history

Art was my favourite subject at college using Indian Ink and water colour as a preferred medium, Photography became my next challenge.

I was about 18 when my interest in photography became more than just a fad though I could also say that about my guitars too, I still own them and play them. Photography however, is instant in that you see your reward the moment you hit the shutter button. Film cameras were beautifully made but you you had to be very skilful in how you set the camera up as you had no way of knowing the results till the film usually Kodak came back from the lab.

Ex-Beatle George Harrison was a snap shot taken in Henley On Thames with my trusty Zenith EM a beast of a camera, built like a tank. However, like everything technology has moved on particularly in the world of cameras.

The Switch to Digital

In 2001 and on a holiday in Florida I bought my first digital camera it was a Fuji with 3.2 mega pixels. I moved to the Canon range and now I’ve Fuji and Nikon I suppose i’ve become a bit of camera junkie. In 2010 I wanted to get into the wedding market and trained with Damien Lovegrove regarded by many as one of the most influential and inspiring photographers around. These training sessions included wedding and Portraiture which are still my main interests.

I have also worked with Kevin Mullins and Crash Taylor which I consider them to be photographers at the top of their game.

My Approach

My wedding photography used to be traditional however, in recent years documentary and theme weddings have become popular, In saying all this though, I’m still asked for a few group shots.

Take a look at my work, hope you like what you see, My Blog may also give you a glimpse of the kind of work I produce.

I know getting married has become so expensive however, you are spending an awful amount of money for one day. The day goes so fast and you probably won’t remember much of it. The photographer is producing a record of your Big day by a Photographer who’s job it is to capture all the emotion of your Wedding day which you can relive time and again.

When you book me I can quote you based on the time you need me and the distance I need to travel.
